COB lamps and LED lamps are both semiconductor light sources, but they differ in the production of light sources. LED lamp is composed of a PN junction, when the electrons and holes in the PN junction, will produce light phenomenon. The COB lamp is to package multiple LED chips on the same substrate, so that it forms a semiconductor light source. Therefore, from the perspective of the production of light sources, COB lights are more advanced than LED lights.

Because the COB lamp packages multiple LED chips on the same substrate, the light efficiency is higher and the light color is more uniform. The LED lamp bead is composed of a PN junction, so the brightness and light efficiency are relatively low.
