The preferred choice for large spaces is LED integrated high-power industrial and mining lights or projection lights, which are suitable for large spaces. Secondly, halogen lights (high power and high brightness)

A sports stadium refers to an outdoor sports building that can host athletics and football matches. It mainly consists of several parts, including a competition venue, practice area and recording area, audience seats, auxiliary rooms, and facilities. Due to the fact that the sports stadium is an outdoor competition venue, it occupies an area several times to several tens of times larger than a typical sports stadium. The most commonly used event for football and track and field competitions is the field, with a distance of 105-110m between the two goals, surrounding the football field. Therefore, sports stadiums are an important and complex part of sports lighting design. It only needs to meet the requirements of athletes for competition and audience viewing, and also needs to meet the requirements of color temperature, illuminance, and uniformity of lighting for filming and broadcasting on television, which is much higher than the requirements of athletes and audiences. In addition, the layout of lighting fixtures should be closely coordinated with the overall planning of the sports stadium and the structural form of the stands. Especially the maintenance of lighting equipment is closely related to architectural design and requires comprehensive consideration.

The lighting design characteristics of sports stadiums are large lighting spaces and long distances. Therefore, high-efficiency floodlights are generally used for site lighting. There are four types of lamp layout methods: four tower, multi tower, light strip layout, and hybrid layout. The specific method to be adopted depends on the characteristics and structure of the sports building. In the arrangement of lighting fixtures, the lighting of the audience and emergency lighting of the competition venue should also be considered to ensure safe evacuation.

In the context of AC power supply, athletes may experience a flicker effect when looking at a high-speed moving sphere, especially at high speeds; At the same time, television broadcasting will also be greatly affected. Therefore, the floodlight should be powered by a three-phase power supply. When three-phase power supply is used, the number of lights connected to each phase is equal, and the light emitted from the projection lights connected to different phases overlaps in the motion field, which can eliminate the flicker effect.

  1. Track and field lighting method

Athletics venues generally have high jump, long jump, pole vault, throwing, and football in the center, with a track around the venue. The standard running distance is 400m, and stands are usually set up on both sides or one side of the field. There are generally three ways to install track and field lighting fixtures: pole mounted, tower mounted, and using the structure of the sports stadium itself to install lighting fixtures. For pole and tower installation methods, the lamp post or lighthouse should be at least 1 meter away from the outer edge of the runway to prevent athletes from being injured by impact. The height of the lamp post or lighthouse is about 45m, and an appropriate installation height is crucial for controlling the glare inside the venue and reducing the overflow of light outside the venue. The best result is to ensure that the glare index GR is less than 50.

  1. Football field lighting method

According to FIFA regulations, football fields are 105m to 110m in length and 68m to 75m in width. There should be no obstacles within at least 5 meters outside the bottom line and sidelines of the stadium to ensure the safety of athletes. There are two basic layout methods for venue lighting: four corner layout (the lamps are installed on the high tower near the diagonal extension line of the stadium), and the installation position of the four corner light tower is set at a common point where the edge line crosses 5 degrees and the bottom line crosses 15 degrees. The height of the light tower is calculated as follows: h=dtg φ, H=height of the lighthouse; D=distance from the starting point of the stadium to the lighthouse; φ The angle between the starting point of the stadium and the bottom and top of the lighthouse must be greater than 25 degrees; The installation of lateral lighting fixtures is relatively low, and the lighting fixtures are located on both sides of the court. Lateral layout can be divided into two ways: multi tower (pole) installation, with 2, 3, or 4 towers (poles) installed on the edge of the court; Light strip installation, where the lighting fixtures are installed on the ceiling or raceway, forming a light strip parallel to the sidelines of the court during illumination.
